The redesigned Newell cockpit is a major step forward in the evolution of motorhome travel. It brings together advanced electronic instrumentation, intuitive touchscreen controls, and the kind of design and material quality typically found in top-tier luxury automobiles. Stepping into the driver’s seat means entering a fully digital, wraparound environment that redefines what the driving experience can be.
At the heart of the newly designed cockpit is a 15-inch infotainment panel that brings together all your essential driving functions in one high-resolution touchscreen. After more than a year of design and development, this system was created to simplify the experience behind the wheel while giving you full control.
Ergonomically positioned in the center console, it can be operated by touch or with a control knob located on the left armrest. Clear, easy-to-use icons let you move between climate settings, entertainment, navigation, exterior camera views, leveling controls, mirror adjustments, and more. It’s a seamless, powerful tool built to enhance both comfort and confidence on the road.
The Newell cockpit is built for teamwork on the road. Using the latest technology from Rand McNally, both the driver and passenger have access to separate navigation touch panels, making it easy to share the responsibility of route planning. A mirrored digital feed from the passenger’s panel allows them to input directions, make quick changes, or find upcoming rest stops—all of which appear instantly on the driver’s screen. It’s a smarter, more connected way to travel together.
The Newell instrument display features a 15-inch screen that provides a clear and customizable view of your coach’s driving systems. With a resolution of 1024 by 768, the gauges and graphics appear crisp and easy to read. This digital cluster allows you to monitor engine diagnostics, tire pressure, driving preferences, camera views, and more from one streamlined interface.
You can personalize the display by adjusting background images, color themes, and the information shown. Built with the latest display technology, the system is designed to help you quickly access what you need while keeping your focus on the road.
A mini iPad is seamlessly built into the new cockpit, giving both the driver and passenger full access to house systems through the Intrepid 2.0 app. It’s mounted on a LaunchPort station that charges the device while keeping it easily removable for use anywhere in the coach. This updated location for the Intrepid 2.0 touchscreen also makes room for a new large-format overhead monitor, which works with the infotainment panel to provide multiple camera view options.
Alongside the upgrades to the driver’s cockpit, the passenger seat now features its own enhanced control station. A full-color touchscreen has been added to give the passenger easy access to climate settings, music, and navigation. Positioned on the passenger side of the center console, this new interface adds a higher level of comfort and convenience, making the ride more enjoyable for everyone on board.
Beyond the impressive electronics in the new dash, the overall structure and layout have been carefully engineered to improve safety and comfort. Better sightlines, more ergonomic panel placement, and larger buttons help the driver stay focused on the road with fewer distractions. Added passenger controls also support a more balanced experience for both seats. For convenience, a tip-out storage compartment sits below the infotainment screen, along with a built-in stainless steel cup holder that blends seamlessly into the design.

Each Newell chassis is built from the ground up to match the exact floorplan and layout of the coach. Because we design and manufacture our own chassis in-house, we have the flexibility to accommodate unique requests such as mid-entry configurations or custom bay arrangements. With unmatched weight capacity, the Newell chassis also allows for a broader selection of interior materials and features that other motorcoach platforms simply cannot support.
Newell is the only motorcoach in North America equipped with ZF’s continuous active damping system, a computer-controlled suspension that adjusts each wheel ten times per second. This advanced system improves ride comfort, reduces body roll while cornering, and enhances control across all types of road conditions. Paired with Newell’s adaptive EasySteer system and the industry’s only active rear steer tag axle, the result is unmatched maneuverability and a remarkably smooth ride.

One of the hidden strengths of a Newell is the quality of insulation used throughout the coach. The base flooring includes 7 inches of dense foam, creating a solid barrier between the living space and the road below. Exterior walls and the ceiling are sprayed with 2 inches of foam, while the interior walls are lined with durable 5/8-inch plywood to fully encapsulate the space. The result is a noticeably quieter, more comfortable experience both on the road and at rest.

Choosing a floorplan is the first step in creating your Newell Coach. We work closely with you to select the layout that fits your lifestyle, travel habits, and personal preferences.
You can start with one of our existing floorplans, combine features from multiple layouts, or design something entirely custom. Our reference floorplans are meant to guide the process and can be tailored as much or as little as you like.
Fully custom floorplans are also available. Some features shown in the examples may be optional and available for an additional cost.
